Question: What forms of payment do you accept?

Question: Do I pay shipping charges?
Answer: With the high cost of fuel, shipping rates are constantly increasing and we are doing our best to continue to absorb this expense. Therefore on all order of $40 or more, you will not be paying any shipping or handling charges while shopping on www.LordJohnsFootwear.com shipping throughout the continental US. Orders for less that $40.00 will be charged a $7 shipping/handling fee.
Question: May I return an item if it doesn't fit properly?
Answer: Yes. All of the items we sell are returnable, provided they are returned to us in their original condition. Complete return and exchange details are located on our Returns and Exchanges page.
Question: How long does it take my order to ship?
Answer: If the shoe is in stock in our store or warehouse, it will usually ship within one business day. If the item you ordered is not in stock at the time of order placement, it is most likely in transit to us in our perpetual inventory replenishment orders from vendors, and will be shipped to you once the item is received in our warehouse. If it has been determined that it is not in transit to us from the vendor, we then promptly order it directly from the manufacturer. Many of the vendors we deal with provide the service of drop shipping orders directly to our customers, therefore the item you ordered might be delivered straight from the vendor. Since we deal with over 100 vendors, this provides us with access to hundreds of thousands of pairs of shoes, boots and sandals to ship promptly to our customers. Orders can take up to 30 business days to ship very popular items and in those rare cases, our customer service representatives inform our customers of such delays.
We use UPS ground for deliveries. Typical delivery times to New England, New York and New Jersey are 1 to 2 business days. The longest delivery times are to the West Coast, which average about 5 business days.
Question: Do I pay sales tax when shopping on www.LordJohnsFootwear.com?
Answer: You never pay sales tax when shopping on www.LordJohnsFootwear.com. We are not required to collect sales and use tax on deliveries throughout the US because there is no sales tax in New Hampshire on clothing, including shoes.

Answer: Yes, you are welcome to shop in our store. Our store is located at:

However, since we carry so many different brands and styles, we don't display them all in our store and keep most in our warehouse. We do display them all on our website.
Question: Do we have every size/color/style from every brand in stock at every moment?
Answer: No we do not. Nor does your local shoe store. We attempt to keep the most common sizes/colors per style in stock and use of vendor's inventory to assist in filling your order. This helps us provide you with the lowest prices on today's most popular footwear brands. We are aware of your desire to receive your order as soon as possible, and we strive for that, from the moment your order is placed. On average we fill one third of all orders within 24 hours from in-store inventory. The balance are filled from inventory that is already en route to our distribution center, or in the event the order is not already en route to us, we will promptly order it directly from the manufacturer and, if available, request the manufacturer drop ship the order direct to you.
Question: Are we able to send you a catalog?
Answer: No, our website is our online catalog.
Question: How do I know that I am ordering the correct size?
Answer: We do recommend everyone occasionally getting measured at your local shoe store with a Brannock device. Especially children, whose feet are constantly growing in length and width. Since all current measuring devices are only 2 dimensional and every brand of shoe uses a large variety of lasts or shapes to build their styles, there is some guesswork involved. When in doubt, select the larger since. Adults who have gained or lost weight, will see that the shape and size of their foot change. Even adults who have not had a considerable change in weight in recent years, will undergo some bone shift and changes in their foot shape to cause a change in shoe size.
Question: May I cancel an order prior to shipping?
Answer: Yes, you may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping. If your order has shipped to you and is in transit, you may refuse delivery with the UPS agent or accept shipment and return the box in accordance with our return policy. If you were charged and you order did not ship and you choose to cancel your order, your order will be immediately cancelled. The credit request will be sent to our billing department for processing. Please anticipate a prompt credit to the credit card that was charged, which will be processed within 30 days.
Question: How do I get the status of my order?
Answer: We have an Order Status page, http://www.LordJohnsFootwear.com/track.asp, and there is a link to that page on the top left portion of every page on our website. Simply enter your order number and select your state. That order status appears. If the order has shipped, a tracking number will be listed. Click on that tracking number, to open a tracking information page on UPS.com.
